Introduction
We have several pots simmering right now at R.R.   First, we are currently booking shows for
2007 - 2008 season. Clubs, community centers, theaters, block parties anything to help get the
word out. A very time consuming and sometimes exspensive adventure for a group of our size. Sponsors and Donations. To take this environmental percussive performance show on the road, we need the finacial help of large and small corporations. Large cities usually have no problem bringing a Recycled Rhythms event to town. But guess what? Environmental issues exist in all areas, large and small. The donations from corporations would pay for a percentage of a Recycled Rhythms event, which in turn would allow the smaller communities to afford the performance / workshop fee. Wish us luck with this one! Melodic information! In addition to the ever expanding line of drums and percussion used in a Recycled Rhythms show, we introduced the gas can guitar during the Clean Water Celebration show at the Peoria Civic Center in March of 2006. This opened the door for another stringed instrument, the box-a-lele. Did you say box-a-lele? This is a general discription of a Ukulele constructed from materials that resemble the physical size of a standard Uke. (ukulele). An old metal lunchbox, empty cigar box, small tin box etc... Thanks to percussionist / guitarist Ben Juday for bringing his 6 string talents into the group. LOOK OUT! |
